Rigmaden Ltd – Notice for candidates 19th July 2010

RIGMADEN LTD (PREVIOUSLY HIPCERT) – NOTICE FOR CANDIDATES 19 JULY 2010

We have received confirmation that Rigmaden Ltd ceased to trade from Friday 16 July 2010 and are, therefore, no longer able to support candidates to complete their qualifications. They have confirmed that their office is now closed.

We would, therefore, like to provide the following information:

·         We are currently working with the centre to ensure that all portfolios are returned to candidates as quickly as possible.  We are also working to establish contact details for any candidates who wish to get in touch with the centre.

·         Completion of qualification – where candidates are part way through the process of completing their qualification, they would need to transfer to another approved assessment centre to complete.  All ABBE assessment centres are listed on the ABBE website at www.abbeqa.co.uk and we would advise you to contact two or three different centres to discuss a way forward.  The new centre will be able to look at the progress you have made so far and advise on what else you would need to do to complete the qualification.  Please be advised that there is likely to be a fee charged for this.

·         If you are already registered with ABBE for your qualification, this registration will stand.  If you are not aware of your ABBE registration number or registration status, please send an email to abbeenquiries@bcu.ac.uk with your name, date of birth, postcode and qualification and we will be able to confirm this for you.

·         If you have taken and passed the relevant ABBE examination, again this result will stand.  (Confirmation can be provided as above if necessary).

·         Financial aspects  - Unfortunately, ABBE has no jurisdiction over any financial arrangements made between candidates and the centre and so we would urge you to seek legal advice as a matter of urgency regarding this.  Where fees have been paid by credit card, we would advise you to contact your credit card company as soon as possible to discuss the situation with them.

As soon as we have any additional information, we will provide a further update.  In the meantime, if you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact us.
