This is a professional qualification for those who wish to pursue a career as a Domestic Energy Assessor. Once qualified, DEAs register with an accreditation scheme which accredits them to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for individual existing homes (not newly built) in accordance with legislation implementing the EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings. This qualification has been developed in consultation with Asset Skills and the Department for Communities and Local Government.
