All food handlers have a legal responsibility to ensure that the food they manufacture, sell and/or service is safe for consumption by the consumer; this particularly truce when providing food products to those with food allergies or intolerance.

This qualification has been designed to provide learners with the level of knowledge needed to ensure that whatever their job role, they work to safe hygiene standards at all times to ensure food is safe for consumption by consumers.
