Qualification Information
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the learner with the knowledge and understanding required to work safely within a construction environment as well as the importance of working safely in specific workplaces.
If learners wish to work on construction sites, they need to prove they have the training and qualifications required to carry out their job and apply for the CSCS card for their occupation.
The ABBE Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is recognised by CSCS UK Ltd, where you may obtain a Green Card to access construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.
CSCS Cards
To achieve a CSCS Green Card, learners are required to achieve the ABBE Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment, or equivalent qualification. Once this qualification has been achieved, learners need to achieve the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test.
Once learners have successfully achieved both components, they can apply to CSCS for a Green Card.
