Qualification Information
Instances of illness and death due to outbreaks of Legionnaires Disease, caused by legionella bacteria, have appeared on the news and in the press, which has raised public awareness to the risks of legionella bacteria.
All employers, or persons in control of premises, are responsible for health and safety and need to take the correct precautions to reduce the risks of exposure to legionella bacteria.
The aim of this qualification is to ensure that those who successfully achieve the qualification can demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding of the hazard caused by, and the risks to, personal health and safety from the legionella bacteria.
